How old does my child need to be to play soccer?
The Irving Soccer Association places kids from 4 - 19 years of age. Players must be 4 years old by July 31 to play in the Fall Season or 4 years old by December 31 to play in the Spring Season.
All you need is a pair of tennis shoes or sports cleats, shin pads, and a desire to have fun. You'll purchase a uniform after being placed on a team.
Usually Saturday morning with some weeknight games.
All players will be assigned to a team in a division made up of kids your same age and experience. You will be contacted by the coach of the team you will be on.
Those who played the previous season will be assigned to their old team; new kids will either be placed on existing teams or newly formed teams.
The coaches are chosen from interested parents who have volunteered their time and effort. ISA provides free coaching clinics to make the job of a coach a pleasant one. Coaches set the time and place for practice.
No! Players will be assigned to one of the following divisions: Girls: Under 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 19
Boys: Under 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 19
All of our games will be played on fields provided by the City of Irving. You will practice wherever your coach tells you to meet.
It is important for you to know that the sooner we get your registration form and fee the better opportunity we have to get you on a team. If we can not place you on a team, your fee will be refunded. No refunds will be given after the season begins.
The fee is $40.00. This covers insurance and general expenses incurred by the association such as referees fees and trophies. An additional fee for uniforms will be collected by the coaches as required.
